“Tickets wouldn’t come up on phone. Download somewhere with good WiFi and then screen shoot them. Staff at the gates and info center were unhelpful. Very crowded and no one to answer questions… we were supposed to be able to see the “estate” but the little tram to get you there was 9 euros and there was no way to know where the “estate “ was.”

“We booked the 3-hour Semi-Private Palace of Versailles Walking Tour yesterday (30 Aug 2025). While the Palace itself is beautiful and the Gardens were exquisite, we found the tour itself to be lacking. Our tour through the Palace took only 56 minutes. This included the entirety of the King’s and Queen’s apartments and the Hall of Mirrors. Our guide rushed us through the entire internal tour of the Palace and missed quite a few other rooms that were open for exhibit and display. We also were not allowed to stop and take photos with our travel companions in the rooms or stop to check out the travel store within the…”
